Today, I achieved Rennie Bingo, Level 2!
In the Ren Faire booths that I work in, we have a scale of achievements that we call Rennie Bingo. Level 1 is selling something that you are wearing. I've done this several times over the past few years, selling pewter rings off of my fingers, or necklaces off of my neck.
Today, I got to Level 2: I sold the turtle earrings (in the picture above) before they were complete. I had found the quartz dangles in a bag in a drawer, and I matched them up with a pair of turtles to turn into earrings. Brian and Karen liked the look, and urged me to add some stones.
I had just finished adding stones to the backs of the turtles and I was waiting for the epoxy to cure, when a young couple walked up. They seemed interested in what I had been working on, so I showed them. Well, I guess they really liked turtles, because they immediately wanted to buy the earrings! I told them that they would need to wait for the epoxy to cure, and to come back in about 40 minutes. And, they were back at the booth right on time, and bought the erraings!
Now, I need to figure out what Level 3 is....
